I had just browsed through my favourite author's blog. Found a post that was dated 2 June 2008 (quite an old post) and read through it......and got really UBER EXCITED about IT! Why?!!! Because, Mr Scott Westerfeld, the author of the UGLIES Series, is going to write a book all about the UGLIES Series!!!! O.M.G!!!!! \O.O/ So you can imagine me jumping for joy *YESSSS!!!!* with my brain filled with thoughts of getting my hands on the book, Bogus to Bubbly: An Insider's Guide to the World of Uglies (Paperback), as soon as possible. The bad thing is that...this book is going to be released while I am having my Ordinary Level examination! Oh NO! What kind of bad timing is that???!!!! I wish that I can get it...but I am supposed to be studying at that time!! ARGHHH! Also, I am supposing to be saving up for Lolita as well. Jeez...while other are saving up for Lolita and Cosplay/Dollfies, I am saving up for Lolita and books. Aren't I a "hardworking student"? O.o But let's put that aside first. That familiar face is, of course, the model from the Uglies cover. In fact, it’s a photo from the same shoot, which almost made it onto the book. But at the last minute, the powers that be decided to switch to the cover we all know and love.
Fascinating factoids like this are what Bogus to Bubbly is all about: tons of background info on how the series came to be conceived, researched, written, and produced. It’s sort of a giant FAQ, in which I try to answer the thousand-or-so most common questions that I’ve been asked by fans over the years.
Among its many sections are the following:

Maps of Tally’s city and the greater continent;

P.S I was thinking about this book and then I thought of people sometimes panicking over what to get for his/her friend for birthday present. For me, there's another choice. I wouldn't mind getting a Borders/Kinokuniya birthday voucher as a birthday gift! =D
